Projects Contributions
1) I contributed pitch ideas and questions for the group during the initial stages.
- My initial pitch was for the F-15E wings as they can not only save the lives of the pilot but also safeguard Singapore's airspace. Information was gathered from my reader's response.
- I tried to be impartial and objective by asking clarifying questions and coming to an agreement that my initial pitch was unrealistic.
- We eventually settled on SLA 3D printing as we had all agreed it was the most feasible and interesting idea.
2) Online meeting to work on the problem statement and initial headway for our research.
- I used the sample problem statements and reports as a reference to clarify our doubts and propose potential changes.
- I used OneSearch and Google Scholar to find relevant sources using keywords.
- These keywords include SLA, prosthetic, photopolymer resin, benefits, limitations, and nanomaterials.
- Some of these keywords such as nanomaterials were added after our initial research.
- Helped Benjamin consolidate some of the prompts and links from our research in the team minutes
3) Primary Research
- Recalling previous discussions and research, I remembered that MIT was involved in the research and development of nanomaterials and hence, could assist us with our research.
- Due to time constraints, I delegated the task of emailing MIT to Benjamin while I would email Professor Steven Tay.
4) Report
- I contributed to these sections:
- 1.1.7 Market Demand and Trends Supporting Advanced Materials
- 1.1.8 Why Photopolymers Resin with Embedded Nanomaterial
- 5. Methodology
- 5.1 Primary Research
- Conclusion
- Transmittal Letter
- Credit must be given to Farhan and Benjamin for helping me with some of these sections.
- Helped to rearrange some of the references in alphabetical order
- Updated my team on my progress and brought up suggestions
5) Consultation with Professor Bradstone
- I had encouraged my team to send their questions the day before and consolidated them into a list.
6) Presentation
- We received feedback during our mock presentation that my section overlapped with Benedict's. Hence, we had a discussion to resolve this and improve the aesthetics of our slides.
